Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

It seems lately everywhere I turn this verse pops up. I find it in the Christian Fictions I read, I find it in devotions I read, I hear it on Christian radio. It comforts me knowing God has plans for me. My trouble is waiting to see what those plans are.
At the moment I am not sure what tomorrow may bring. I question sometimes if God knows what my future may hold. But this verse helps me remember that God does know. And in His perfect time he will reveal those plans to me. All I need to do is sit back and patiently wait on Him, which isn't always easy to do.
Sometimes I feel I need to try and find a job. Sometimes I feel I need to be at home and finish raising my children.
There are days I wish God would just speak to me as He did to those in Bible times. Life would be so much easier to figure out if God would just tell me what He wants me to do.
But that is where keeping the faith and trusting Him comes in. I trust God to take care of me. He always has, and He has never given me reason not to trust He always will. So I will wait on Him to reveal His plans for me. His plans to give me hope and a future.

Thank you God for the promise of Jeremiah 29:11. And even though I sometimes find it difficult waiting on You I know in your precious and perfect time You will show me the plans you have for me. Help me to be patient, help me to wait on You. Help me not to get ahead of you and try to make a future on my own. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Hi Tricia! What a wonderful post ♥ This verse has been one that I've leaned on as well. When my emotions tell me otherwise, when spiritual warfare is heavy, God is faithful to let me know that He's still here. He gently, but firmly brings my eyes back to His wonderful face, settling my heart and mind as only He can. May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ♥
